Custom mold making.

We can bring any rubber idea to life.

Mold making is the process used to manufacture a part or product by shaping pliable rubber compounds using a rigid frame called a mold or matrix.

A mold is a hollowed-out block that is filled with a pliable material such as a rubber compound or other agent. The rubber hardens inside the mold, adopting its shape.

The very common bi-valve molding process uses two molds, one for each half of the object. Articulated molds have multiple pieces that come together to form the complete mold, and then disassemble to release the finished casting.

Piece-molding uses a number of different molds, each creating a section of a complicated object. This is generally only used for larger and more valuable objects.

The process of manufacturing molds is now highly automated. TMI’s design shop’s state-of-the-art software & equipment gives us the ability to design and create virtually any rubber mold so the entire process is both quick and accurate.

We can use your CAD or other designs to create a custom mold, or work with you to create a new design.

TMI’s team of mold designers is ready to handle all your rubber mold requirements.
