1. We Have the Ability to Take Your Project from Start to Finish
Is your project just an idea in your head, or is it fully planned and ready to manufacture? Either way, we are able to help. TMI is there to take your idea from a drawing on a scratch piece of paper to a physical product that can be held in your hand.
2. We Are With You Every Step of the Way
At TMI, we have a highly involved team that is always available to you if you have questions or concerns about your project. Even the company president is aware of and involved in every project that is in the works at TMI, so you can rest assured that your project will always be a top priority. Your first contact may even be the company president himself! We encourage an open dialogue between our customers and project team members, as we believe that open and honest communication is the key to a successful business partnership.
3. We are Constantly Striving for Increased Efficiency and Quality
Did you know that TMI is ISO certified? This certification ensures that the best practices are followed every step of the way. Your parts are inspected throughout each step of the production process to ensure that your finished product will be of the best quality.
4. We Serve a Variety of Industries and are Always Adding More
As of today, TMI has served these industries: aerospace, automotive, electrical, military, agricultural, medical, transportation, marine, oil and gas, appliance, food, and consumer goods. Don’t see your industry listed? Don’t worry, TMI is always looking to expand its list of industries to become a more versatile company.
5. We Have Been a Trusted and Steady Name in the Industry for 35 years
TMI’s founder, Michael J. Myhal, Sr., brought 20 years of rubber industry experience with him when he established TMI. While the company started out as a small, father-and-son operation in 1984, it has consistently grown in the 35 years of its existence. In fact, the current president, Michael Myhal Jr., helped grow TMI’s share of customer purchases from 10% to today’s figure of 85-90%. With this kind of solid foundation and steady growth, you can be confident that TMI is a trustworthy and quality company.
6. Our Team is Incredibly Experienced
There is over 100 years of combined experience just between our quality coordinator, our plant manager, and our customer service representative. TMI team members are always striving to learn more and are willing to use their knowledge to think outside the box for whatever comes their way. Not only are our team members experienced in the general workings of the industry, but they are also incredibly well-versed in the specific, day-to-day operations of the TMI office and manufacturing plant itself.
7. We Work with a Broad Range of Materials and Methods…
Nitrile, EPDM, Fluorocarbons, Fluorosilicone, Neoprene, Butyl, Silicone, SBR, Hydrin, Hypalon, and more! As for methods, some of our most common are injection molding, compression molding, transfer molding, and extrusion molding.
8. …and We Are Adding More All the Time
TMI started out with only four presses, and since then, we have grown to an over 30,000 sq. ft. operation with a myriad of different presses, molds, and machining equipment. We believe that that growth and success is due to the fact that we are always open to trying new methods and using new materials. We realize that, at some point, all of the commonly used materials in our shop today were once new to us. That’s why we don’t shy away from a new and exciting task using materials or methods not listed on our site.
9. We Have Our Own In-House Machine Shop
Don’t have a mold for your custom rubber project? Don’t worry! We can create the mold in our own in-house machine shop. This makes the turnaround for your project much faster, as any troubleshooting that needs to be done for your prototype will be done in-house. We can also fabricate metal parts for a variety of industries and applications.
10. We Love What We Do
At TMI, we don’t just do our jobs to put in our 9-5. We are excited for and invested in every project that comes our way. Your project is our project, and we want to see it succeed in the best possible way.
